a Visit to Graz

Graz is an interesting city almost 3 hours south of Vienna.  On Easter Monday my husband, dog and I enjoyed a visit there.

Stairs we climbed to get up instead of riding on the tram

Unfortunately Napoleon destroyed the fortress on top of the mountain. This 34 meter tall bell tower was saved from French blasting in 1809 by the people of Graz paying a ransom.  Was built in 1588.
